A Message from the Trustee

posted in: Homepage News | 0

It is my pleasure to be returning for another four years not only as the Trustee for student, parents, and staff of Bobcaygeon Public School, but for all those living within the Trillium Lakelands District School Board.

As I write this BPS has already had their first snow day. Lots of parents don’t understand sometimes why buses are cancelled because when they look out their window they may not see any snow. However, the board (in discussion with the bus providers) has to evaluate the weather for the complete school day. If there is a serious deterioration forecasted in the weather for that day buses may be cancelled. Therefore, it is important for parents to listen to local radio stations, or check out the Board’s web site (tldsb.ca) to see if buses have been cancelled. We don’t want your child stand at the edge of the roadway waiting for buses that may not be coming.

In closing I must say that I can hardly believe that this is my last message 2014. If you plan to travel during the holiday season please be safe. On behalf of the Board of Trustees I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy and Healthy New Year.
