Halloween Laker-Style

Halloween is more than Trick or Treating at Bobcaygeon PS. It is an opportunity to get involved, support our community, and show that Lakers are Leaders.

This Halloween, some of our intermediate students offered their “spooktacular services” to Settler’s Village to help with their Halloween festivities. Over 3000 people came out to the village to enjoy the fun.

Our School Council hosted a “Spooky Spaghetti Supper” and loonie auction to support school improvement initiatives such as the installation of a hydration station.

Ms. Finlay’s Grade Six Class created a Haunted Classroom, with lots of unexpected surprises-shadow people, spooky surgery, and a lovely section that allowed visitors to place their hands on “brains, eyeballs, and worms”. They certainly have a flare for the grotesque!

We had a dance, organized by our very own Spirit Squad. Treats were organized by Alex Stephan, who rallied his classmates in Ms. Wesselink and Ms Janke’s classes to raise funds for his hockey teammate, Karter Robertson, who is currently battling cancer.

Lastly, our We Team is busy “scaring hunger” by collecting non-perishable food items to donate to our local food bank. We are VERY proud of our students!!
