Practice Habit 1 and practice the Habit of Proactivity – – When we are proactive we consider how we can use language to promote positivity in our communication with others. Proactive language builds people up and avoids words that tear people down.

We want to hear from you!
At Trillium Lakelands District School Board we want to know what we’re doing well and how we can continue to improve our schools. To do this we want to hear from you, our valued stakeholders.
We’re using Thoughtexchange – an online stakeholder engagement tool – to help us better understand your thoughts and priorities at this time.
Step One – Share: April 12 – 24, 2016: On April 12, you will be able to register for our Thoughtexchange by clicking here . After registering you will be able to share your thoughts to some important, open-ended questions. You will have until April 24th to complete this step.

Step Two – Star: April 29 – May 8, 2016: On April 29, you will be invited to star (prioritize) your own thoughts and some thoughts from other community members. If you participated in Share, you will automatically be sent a Star invitation. If you are new to the Thoughtexchange, you can register through our website. You will have until May 8 to complete this step.

Step 3 – Discover is when we will communicate back the prioritized thoughts we have heard from you.
Please know your identity will remain private throughout this process, and your name will never be associated with your input.
We greatly appreciate your time spent engaged in this process. Thank you for your support!

Let everyone know that Kindergarten registration for NEW students in JK or SK is now on. We need to have the most accurate numbers to assist with our staffing so families are encouraged to not delay in completing your registration package.

Do you live in Peterborough County? If you haven’t yet completed your form required for the Transportation Department please do so asap and return to the Office so that we can have your transportation in place for September 2016. Forms were sent home via school connects. A second form has been sent home in hard copy for any that are outstanding.
Don’t forget that you need to have an up-to-date Criminal Record Check completed to participate as a chaperone in Field Trips. If you are planning on supporting our community as a chaperone on an upcoming trip (including Baseball Trip in June) you need to have your CRC. Letters are available from the Office which will request a form be completed on your behalf by the Ontario Provincial Police. We require your legal name and birthdate in order to prepare the letter which can be sent home with your child.
