Bob’s Friday Update – February 11, 2022

Happy Friday!

Another week in the books.  This week brought some wonderful people into our school community.

The Bobcaygeon Lions Club donated $1000 to our Technology Fund.  We are truly grateful for the support of our community.  You make such a difference in our student’s lives.

We also received welcome news in that we are able to relax our cohorting on the yard from one class to divisional cohorts.  Single class cohorts will continue in the school building but when students are outside they will be able to play with students from their division (Kindergarten, Primary, Junior or Intermediate).

Our amazing School Council has begun a new Fundraiser for our Technology Fund.  We have teamed up with plantables.ca.  Please see this flyer if you are interested in buying some plants for your gardens this year. While the deadline to order is May 31st, you are able to choose the delivery window you want your plants to be sent to you.  Check it out at plantables.ca. Use the code bpssmartyplants and dream of spring!

We have some Spirit Days planned. Here are some dates to remember

Feb 14 – Red, Pink and White Day

Feb 15 – PJ Day – 100th Day of School

Feb 18 – It’s Winter Carnavale!  We are planning a Captain Canada Day so wear Red and White to cheer on our Olympic athletes!

Feb 22 – Wear Blue and Red for Noonan’s Syndrome Awareness Day

Feb 23 – Sub lunch in support of Noonan’s research

February 18 – Report Cards will be sent home. There are no Parent-Teacher Interviews planned but if you would like to speak with your child’s teacher regarding their progress, please reach out to them directly.

Please continue to encourage anyone you know with children ready to begin school to register for JK or SK. You can find the online registration at the  Kindergarten Registration page on tldsb.ca.
