Bob’s Friday Update – Sept. 30, 2022

Hello Laker Families,

We had an amazing day commemorating Orange Shirt Day.  Many classes worked on activities and tasks designed to further our awareness of Truth and Reconciliation and the 94 Calls to Action.  A definite highlight was the assembly for Grades 4-8 developed by Ms. Wesselink’s Grade 7/8 Class.  It was incredibly thoughtful and well-done. Thank you to the staff and students who developed and performed at the assembly today.

Dates to Remember:

September 30th – PA Day

October 11 – Grade 7 Immunization Clinic (Hep. B, HPV, Men.)

October 24 – Picture Day!

We are unfortunately finding that children are coming to school unwell (coughing, green runny noses, fevers).  If your child is feeling unwell please check the Ontario school screener daily to ensure that your child is well enough to come to school.

Anyone who is feeling sick or has any new or worsening symptoms of illness, including those not listed in the screening tool, should stay home until their symptoms are improving for at least 24 hours (48 hours for nausea, vomiting, and/or diarrhea) and seek assessment from their health care provider if needed.

The screener can be found at: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/ Please keep your child home if they are unwell.

I hope you get out and enjoy the Bobcaygeon Fair this weekend!
